Hawk Parents,

As we kick off the season and the school year, it is a good time to thank
those who have worked tirelessly since spring for Football Boosters. What a
great team-hopefully more parents will be inspired to help out, once they
catch the excitement of the season! Not to worry-you can be sure there will
be plenty more opportunities to help in the coming months! Jump in and
volunteer whenever you get a chance-you'll be glad you did!

Physicals:  Debra Corley, Diane Zembal, Jane Refsnyder and Barb Maccabe made
sure these busy days went smoothly.

Football Bags:  Ann Delahunty and Nancy Martindale turned a lack of lockers
into a great solution and a successful fundraiser all in one.

4th of July City Event:  Susan DeGrassi and the DeGrassi family did an
awesome job manning the Hawk Football booth and brought in nice profits as

WineWorks Evening:  Cynthia Makin single handedly organized and promoted
this fun filled evening, which raised money for our program.

Ad Sales:  Kathy Emma and Troy Browning headed up our most successful ad
sales campaign to date. Thanks to all the players who pounded the pavement
and sought ads from local businesses, friends and family.

Hawk Quest:  Tina Finley's organizational efforts have paid off with
hundreds of donations from Hawk families and their friends---thanks to
everyone who participated so far.........keep the donations coming!

Spirit Pack Coordinators: Ann Delahunty and Nancy Martindale designed and
distributed the great spirit packs for the players.  This was a BIG
undertaking and they have done an outstanding job every step of the way!

Snack Bar:  O'Toole Vorsheck and her 'team' have spent hours preparing for
our home games.  Her presentation of our needs secured new equipment in the
Snack Bar purchased with General Athletic Boosters funds! Our snack bar is
at a new level this year!

Webmaster:  Tom Finley has spent much of his summer hours updating our
website www.hawkfootball.net .   It has an amazing amount of information, so
check out Tom's great work!

Golden Hawks:  Susie and Vince Giovinazzo once again led the campaign for
the ultimate Hawk fans! Another successful fundraiser which combines Hawk
spirit, game insight and a delicious meal each week during the season.

Parent Meeting:  Teresa Bonutto made sure this mandatory event was more like
a  PARTY ---and it was a big success! Thanks to all the Chairs who manned
their tables and helped with setup and clean up!  Most importantly, thanks
to Jerry Denham for graciously offering his home for the event and for
making sure everyone had a beverage!

Fees:  Debra Corley has worked tirelessly at this very difficult job-
collecting participation and transportation fees from all the players.  She
is amazing.

Treasurer: Pam Noenickx works behind the scenes 24/7 and keeps our funds in
order-she does an outstanding job!

Boosters Representative:  Jack Noenickx is the football voice in the General
Boosters.  He is a wonderful rep. and keeps us in the loop.

Freshman Representative:  Dawn Molt has been instrumental in keeping the
freshmen players and parents connected with Coach T. and the JV and Varsity
program-it is a great frosh group!

Picture Day + Program:   Kathy Emma orchestrated the most efficient photo
day ever for all the squads, coaches and cheerleaders, so despite the heat,
there were plenty of smiles!  Additionally, she single-handedly produces the
entire game day program (sold at all home games) which is an absolutely
GIGANTIC job-we can't thank her enough!

Refreshments:  Carole Samuelson and Alaine Schlack passed out icy cold
drinks, treats and protein bars to the JV and Varsity players every day
throughout the preseason practices. The players loved it!

Team BBQ:  Vince and Susie Giovinazzo  coordinated this team spirit building
lunch served by 'In and Out' and hosted by our very own Boosters!

Thanks to every Football Boosters volunteer!
